Made from Tartar Emetic. Acts powerfully on the respiratory system causing accumulation of mucus that the patient cannot expectorate. The patient seems to be drowning in their own mucus. Used in bronchitis and pneumonia in children and elderly when expectoration is impossible.

THE ESSENCE
Rattling of mucus in chest — patient drowning in mucus they cannot cough up. Profound prostration. Drowsy and sleepy with respiratory distress. Face pale and cold. Nausea better from vomiting.
